Audacia’s New Winemaker

Goodbye Elsa Carstens:
After ten years at Audacia Elsa is spreading her wings. She has accepted the position as General Manager of both the Uitvlucht and Rietrivier Wineries (situated 20 km apart) on the famous Route 62 in Montagu in the Klein Karoo.

 

She has been appointed to steer both wineries as to ensure the production of the ultimate quality wine the region has to offer.

The wineries specialise in a variety of red and white wines, among which are Pinotage, Chardonnay and award winning Muscadel wines.

Welcome Michael van Niekerk:
Michael is a promising young energetic person with great ability, confidence and huge potential.


He is a graduate of Elsenburg Agricultural College and has completed Degree courses in: Cellar Technology, Cellar Management, Viticulture and Wine Science. Michael takes over responsibility for both the viticulture and winemaking on Audacia, making him in total control from what happens in the vineyard all the way through to the bottling of the wine.
