I have the Spring Feeling!

Soon it is the
first of September and that means officially spring for us!
That is the reason for sending you this bunch of proteas,
a flower indigenous to South Africa and very well known world
wide. Already the vibrancy of all things to come for the
next season is felt on the farm. We are preparing for the
pruning of the vineyards, but that is for next time. With
our award winning red wines, Audacia had just the recipe
of how to warm up the cold of winter and actually have great
fun doing it!

Then off to show off our Audacia Cabernet
Sauvignon 2001 which was awarded a silver medal (one
of two silver medals with only one gold medal in the
Cabernet Sauvignon Category and with the second highest
score in this category) at the showcase of the esteemed
South African Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show. We at Audacia
had a great fun spending time with some of you. |

restaurant with the GM of the Emperor’s Palace
Casino.

We started by showing our wines at the Good
Food and Wine show in Cape Town in May. This wine has also now been selected to represent
South Africa as one of seven Cabernet Sauvignon Wines, in
the Tri Nations Wine competition between Australia, New Zealand
and South Africa. Then it was off to Durban where we exhibited
our range of wine at the Juliet Cullinan Wine Show, our debut
in Kwazulu Natal! At the five star D’Oreal Hotel in
Gauteng, we had the pleasure of having a Gourmet evening
in their Aurelia’s restaurant, where our wines were
paired with an exclusively prepared multi course dinner.

The very next day we were
off to entice the appetite of our friends in Gauteng
with our selection of wines at the Jo’burg Wine
Show held at Gallagher Estate. We made
a lot of new friends and we
were proud to be there in the style that we have become
known for, with our wines.
This time I shared with you the joy of living with our
wines. What a great pleasure it has been, all the hard
work in preparation for this is absolutely worth it.
